- Clean aluminum — siding, gutters, sheet, and extrusions with screws and plastic removed
- Cast aluminum — engine parts, housings, and other castings
- Aluminum wheels — clean rims with weights and valve stems removed earn the best rate
- Mixed or dirty aluminum still has value — it is just priced below clean, sorted material
How Pricing Works
Aluminum is quoted per pound. "Clean" means free of steel, plastic, rubber, and dirt — attachments drag a load down to a lower grade, so five minutes with a screwdriver often pays for itself.
